Engraving FAQs
1. What is your turnaround time for trophy products and engraving services?
We generally complete most types of orders within 5 business days depending on the quantity and complexity involved. If you need your order sooner, we will do our best to accommodate your request. Note: Engraving on trays, cups, heirloom and other speciality items you bring in may take up to 2 weeks to complete. Visit our carry-in engraving page for details.
Rush Orders
There may be an additional charge for rush orders depending on how quickly you require the product and the detail involved.
2. What types of items can I bring in for engraving?
As each piece is unique, bring in your item and we will assess it based on size, shape and material to determine whether the product is suitable for engraving. Then, we will recommend personalization options based on your design ideas.
Materials such as wood, glass, acrylic and some coated metals are suitable for laser engraving. Leather and wood can engrave well but since all hides and types of wood are different we recommend bringing in a sample to test before engraving. The maximum size we can engrave is 24″ x 18″.
3. Can I bring in my own artwork?
Yes, you can bring in your artwork on a USB drive, or email to us in advance. For best results, we request artwork in vector format for engraving (.ai, .eps, .cdr). If you don’t have access to vector files, we may be able to use your high quality, high contrast images in other formats (e.g., .jpeg, .png), but this may reduce the clarity of your image.
Note: We do not print copyright protected images or artwork without the creator’s permission. When you submit your order, please confirm you have permission to reproduce any copyrighted images you supply to us.
4. How do I know what the engraving will look like on my item?
As each piece is unique, we’re unable to predict how your product will respond to the engraving process. As a result, we don’t offer reimbursement or replacement services on items you bring in for engraving.
5. What is engraving “set-up”?
Engraving set-up is the time it takes to assess and prepare your piece for engraving. Two proofs are included with the set-up fee, which varies based on the complexity of your artwork and the item. Charges may apply for any changes you request after the second proof.
